On March 9, Nippon Keidanren (Japan Business Federation) released a document titled \u201cRequests Regarding the Preparations for the My Number System,\u201d and has identified key points of preparation.<\/p>\n<h3>\u25c6What Are the Necessary Preparations?<\/h3>\n<p>The above document states that companies must perform the following matters to prepare for the My Number System:<\/p>\n<p>1. Identification of Applicable Business Operations<br \/>\n(1) Confirm documents that require the printing of My Numbers<br \/>\n\u2022Documents related to taxes such as income tax withholding slips and payment records<br \/>\n\u2022Documents related to health insurance, welfare pension insurance, and employment insurance<br \/>\n(2) Identify individuals who must provide their My Number<br \/>\n\u2022Employees, etc. (including executives and part time workers), and their dependents<br \/>\n\u2022Payee of compensations (fee for lectures and performances, etc.)<br \/>\n\u2022Payee of real estate use fees and rent<br \/>\n\u2022Payee of dividends<\/p>\n<p>2. Examination of Policies and Measures<br \/>\n(1) Development of organizational structure<br \/>\n(2) Review of internal regulations<br \/>\n(3) Clarification of departments and individuals in charge<br \/>\n(4) Examination and clarification of personal identity and number verification methods<br \/>\n(5) Examination of physical information security control measures (area management, information leakage prevention, etc.)<br \/>\n(6) Development of My Number collection schedules<\/p>\n<p>3. Announcement to Individuals Who Must Provide Their My Number<br \/>\n(1) Present a schedule leading up to the collection (clarification of the date on which their My Number will be collected)<br \/>\n(2) Education and training<br \/>\n(3) Define and present of the purpose of use<\/p>\n<p>4. Repair Related Systems (If Your System Is Built In-House)<br \/>\n(1) HR payroll system<br \/>\n(2) Health insurance union system<\/p>\n<p>5.
